Confrontation, Conviction And Conversion Through The Word

*CONFRONTATION, CONVICTION AND CONVERSION THROUGH THE WORD*

These terms are here intended to explain the internal processes of dealing with Depravity and Demonism through various forms by which our Hearts encounter the Word of God.

From Christ’s Parable of the Sower, the Seed and the Soils (Matt 13:1-9; Mark 4:1-9; Luke 8:4-8), we learn that there are various ways we encounter the Word which determine and depend on the way we repudiate Self, Sin and Satan.

  1. CONFRONTATION: *Realization* of the evil of Self, Sin and Satan through the REBOUNDING of the Word.

Confrontation of the Word would _Recognize evil but still Retains_ Self, Sin and Satan without being Remorseful or Repentant *(Hearts of Roadside Soil which had no stay or shoot).*

  1. CONVICTION: *Remorse* for the evil of Self, Sin and Satan through the RECEPTION of the Word.

Conviction by the Word would _Reject evil awhile but still Returns_ to Self, Sin and Satan when faced with pleasure of the flesh or pressures of life *(Hearts of Thorney and Stoney Soils which bore shoot but no root or fruit).*

  1. CONVERSION: *Repentance* from the evil of Self, Sin and Satan through the REGENERATION or Rebirth by the Word.

Conversion by the Word would _Renounce evil and also Replace_ Self, Sin and Satan with the Spirit and Sanctity *(Hearts of Good Soil which bore shoot, root, and manifold fruit).*

REMEMBER

Not all Confrontations lead to Conviction.

Not all Convictions lead to Conversion.

Act 3:19

_REPENT therefore, and be CONVERTED, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;_

ARE YOU TRULY CONVERTED?

Where are your fruits?

Grace to you.
