There are two types of music in the Church today

There are two types of music in the Church today – entertaining music versus edifying music.

Many modern Gospel Musicians have only their sentiments and selves to express from; they lack the Scripture or the Spirit to proclaim from. They perform to *please people*, rather than minister to *please God*.

Performance by melodious *self-expression* is merely for skilled ENTERTAINMENT; but is not the same as Prophecy by melodious *scripture-proclamation* which is truly for spiritual EDIFICATION.

O Lord, send us scripture-loaded and spirit-filled prophetic musicians for your Church as it was with David, Charles Wesley, Ira Sankey and Fanny Crosby.

Colossians 3:16
(16) Let the word of Christ dwell in you with all richness and wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and singing to God with thankfulness in your hearts.

Ephesians 5:17-19
(17) Therefore be not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
(18) And be not drunk with wine, in which is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
(19) Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
